District Council
New Forest District Council
The district council like any other district council is responsible the efficient running of the district and although not directly responsible for the activities of the forest there are obviously a number of cross over areas so all governing bodies tend to work in synergy to make the New Forest visitor experience a better one.
The council administers the various health and leisure centres within the district council which are all open to visitors. The centres can be found at Applemore (near Dibden), Lymington, New Milton, Ringwood and Totton so if you fancy some exercise (apart from the forest walks) you are welcome.
