Festivals And EventsNew Forest Festivals and Events The Forest is absolutely full of events and festivals the whole year round and it has been said that there is something to do in the forest everyday day if you know where to find it. The biggest event in the area just has to be the New Forest Show which is held every year and attracts over 90,000 visitors a year and has in excess of 600 trade stands selling lots of local arts and crafts as well as some from further a field. Unfortunately the event is only on for three days a year but not to worry there are plenty of other things to see and do in and around the New Forest. Many of the local villages have festivals and events happening on an ongoing basis in fact there are over 800 scheduled events for this year in the Forest already, and undoubtedly more will be added. Activities range from the good old farmers markets, to Fungi walks (if you know your mushrooms!), discovery trails, Craft and Wood festivals, forest fun days, specialist walks and art exhibitions to name but a few. Beaulieu is a major centre for events, festivals and rallies, and the diversity is quite staggering.
