Holbury
Holbury
Holbury is the largest village in the Fawley parish council, part of the waterside area, and is fairly central in the string of the 6 villages.
Most residence would consider Holbury to be the main population centre of the area and with a string of shops and a small cinema you would tend to agree.
Originally much smaller than its present size and with a fraction of the population that is now here Holbury has rapidly expanded over the years with a number of property developments increasing the housing stock.
Holbury used to provide local housing for the Fawley refinery which will be far more known to people from outside the area. But more latterly a lot of the population works in Southampton but still want to have a home close to the forest.
Holbury is again not to far from the local beaches of Lepe Country Park and Calshot and is very close to the Forest with excellent road links.
There are a few Pubs and Restaurants in the area with the odd bed and breakfast but predominantly the area is residential. If you found this page useful please bookmark it for others to share - Thank you
