Paultons Park

Paultons Park Family Fun Day Out In The New Forest

Paultons Park is an absolutely fantastic fun day out for all the family. Paultons has been a family favourite for many years and with a constant re-investment program the park has grown dramatically over the years as it adds more and more attractions to keep you coming back year after year.

Unlike some of the bigger parks around the country Paultons Park is very much geared towards good family fun and a majority of the rides are suitable for children from toddlers to younger teenagers.

The Park was first opened in 1983 and 2008 marks the parks 25th anniversary and the start to what will surely be yet another successful season due to its focus on family fun.

T
o Mark its 25th birthday, Paultons has had a massive floating granite globe commissioned which is the centrepiece of the entrance to the park. Weighing in at a massive six and a half tonnes surprisingly it can be rotated with only the slightest of pressure.

This year also sees a new garden just inside the entrance to the park as well, where you can sit down and relax and have a nice cup of tea or coffee.

With over 50 rides and attractions the largest being the Cobra with a minimum ride height of only 1.1mtrs there are plenty of rides available even for the smaller members of the family.

As well as the rides Paultons Park also has an excellent and well cared for display wildlife and wild birds including birds of prey, tropical birds and parrots and wildfowl. You’ll also likely to get “ambushed” by the local posse of squirrels on your ride through the woods on the Rio Grande train ride.

The bigger rides include:

The Cobra Rollercoaster - the parks newest and latest ride and the only one in the UK

The Sky Swinger - The best way to go for a family swing

The Kontiki Ride - For a taste of the high seas and

The Jumping Bean - (not recommended after dinner??)

And of course what park would be complete without the proverbial water rides, ideal on a hot sunny day (and just as much fun if it is a little overcast).

The Wave Runner - Ride the water roller coaster in a rubber raft.

The Raging River Ride Log Flume - Your going to get wet!

Of course there is a whole lot more to see and do but we wouldn't want to spoil the surprise would we.

Opening Times vary through out the year but is generally between 10:00 am - 6:30 pm depending on the time of year.

You can find full details about Paultons Park at the Paultons Park website.
